Spot Ethanol Prices Climb in Chicago, NYH in Early Trade
Spot ethanol prices moved higher in Chicago and the New York Harbor on gains by New York Mercantile Exchange RBOB futures and Chicago Board of Trade corn futures in early afternoon trade Wednesday. The gains come despite expectation ethanol plant production rose last week, estimated at more than 1.0 million bpd versus 996,000 bpd for the week prior. In the physical market, prompt delivered ethanol at the Argo hub in the Chicago market was talked 1.0cts higher at $1.32 gallon. A prompt barge delivered to the New York Harbor was talked at $1.46 gallon, up 1.5cts.
