Argo, NYH Spot Ethanol Prices Higher Early Monday

Spot ethanol prices were mixed early Monday, with Chicago and New York Harbor cash markets edging higher while trade hubs along the West Coast posted lower prices. The market continues to mull over last week's data from the Energy Information Administration showing a 2.0% gain in plant output for the week ended Oct. 20 to 1.039 million bpd.

In physical trade, prompt delivered ethanol supply at the Argo terminal in the Chicago cash market traded at $1.41 gallon, up 0.5cts, while November barged ethanol at the New York Harbor was valued at $1.49 gallon, up 1.0cts. Along the West Coast at the Los Angeles Basin spot ethanol prices traded at $1.53 gallon, down a penny on the session. In the Pacific Northwest, prompt supply ethanol was seen at $1.50 gallon.
