Spot ethanol prices in Chicago gained on Thursday as support from higher New York Mercantile Exchange RBOB futures overshadowed talk that storage space was full at the Kinder Morgan-operated Argo terminal in the Chicago market. A source said the operator was redirecting ethanol delivery trucks to the nearby Stony Island facility, but that didn't seem to pressure Argo prices.
Prompt fuel ethanol supply at Argo traded 2.5cts higher at $1.42, $1.435 and $1.45 gallon. In rail market, ethanol under Rule 11 terms for shipment this week was talked 2.0cts higher at $1.415 gallon after being bid at $1.37 and offered earlier at $1.44 gallon.
