Spot Ethanol Mixed; Tight Supply Buoys California Prices
Spot ethanol prices were mixed in early trade Tuesday, with values at the Argo supply hub in Chicago lower with a decline by corn futures, while tight supply conditions boosted spot prices in California ahead of the arrival of a tanker from Brazil expected in the coming weeks.
Prompt ethanol supply at the Argo hub in the Chicago market traded at $1.63 per gallon, down 0.5 cents. In the rail market, ethanol traded under Rule 11 for this week shipment from Chicago was seen at $1.61 per gallon, down 0.5 cent.

April barged ethanol at the New York Harbor was assessed unchanged at $1.71 per gallon.
On the West Coast, prompt delivered ethanol to northern California was valued at $1.84 per gallon, up 1.0 cent on the day.
