Spot Ethanol Prices Gain in Early Trade with Higher Futures

Spot ethanol prices were higher across the country, lent support from gains by Chicago Board of Trade corn futures and New York Mercantile Exchange RBOB futures and in front of a weekly inventory report from the Energy Information Administration due out at 10:30 AM ET Wednesday.

Prompt delivered ethanol at the Argo terminal in the Chicago market traded at $1.4975 per gallon and was pegged last at $1.5275, up 2.75 cents, with Rule 11 supply talked at $1.5275 per gallon, up 1.75 cents on the session. April barged ethanol at the New York Harbor was talked at a $1.6125 to $1.6275 per gallon bid/ask spread for a 1.5-cent session loss. Pacific Northwest spot ethanol traded at $1.65 per gallon for a 3.0-cent gain.
