Spot ethanol prices in the Chicago and New York Harbor markets were flat to lower during a thinly traded early session on Monday amid pressure from falling New York Mercantile Exchange RBOB futures. In-tank transfer ethanol at the Argo terminal in the Chicago market traded early at $1.585 and $1.58 per gallon, unchanged on the session.
In the rail market, ethanol for prompt shipment was offered at $1.57 gallon, down 1.0 cents. On the East Coast, February barge-delivered ethanol in the New York Harbor was talked at a $1.645 to $1.665 gallon bid/ask, down 0.5 cents.
