Argo, NYH Spot Ethanol Prices Advance on Corn, RBOB Futures

Spot ethanol prices rose in Chicago and New York on Friday, boosted by gains for Chicago Board of Trade corn futures and New York Mercantile Exchange RBOB futures. Commodities and the broader market rallied in the wake of a fresh nonfarm payroll report showing the labor market returned to strength in June after a weak May.

Prompt delivered ethanol at the Argo terminal near Chicago traded at $1.57 and $1.575 per gallon, up 1.75 cents for the day. Chicago ethanol under Rule 11 for this week traded 2.0 cents higher at $1.57 per gallon. July New York Harbor ethanol barges traded at $1.6425 per gallon, up 2.0 cents on the day.
