Spot ethanol prices moved mixed in a choppy pre-weekend session Friday as traders weighed seasonal short-term demand against lower Chicago Board of Trade corn futures. Prompt transfer ethanol at the Argo terminal in the Chicago market traded flat at $1.62 gallon. Chicago ethanol under Rule 11 for this week shipment was pegged 2.0 cents lower at $1.60 to $1.62 gallon bid/ask. Along the East Coast, July New York Harbor ethanol barges valued at $1.68 gallon, down 0.5 cent on the day.
