Spot ethanol traded higher in Chicago and other regional hubs, lifted by a fresh round of short-covering and higher Chicago Board of Trade corn futures, a trade source said. It comes ahead of weekly ethanol data that's expected to show lower supply. Prompt transfer ethanol at the Argo supply hub near Chicago traded at $1.475, $1.4825 and $1.485 gallon, up 1.25cts, while Chicago ethanol for this week shipment under Rule 11 traded at $1.47 and $1.48 gallon, up 3.0cts.
