Spot ethanol prices gained Wednesday after the U.S. Energy Information Administration reported ethanol stocks fell to a six-week low, down about 400,000 bbl to 17.9 million bbl during the week-ended Oct. 17, bolstering already supportive supply/demand fundamentals in the ethanol market.

Prompt Argo ethanol traded at $1.83 per gallon for a 3.0 cents gain, while Northern California ethanol for this week shipment traded at $2.04 per gallon, up from $1.95 per gallon seen Tuesday.
