Spot ethanol prices at the Argo hub near Chicago and on the New York Harbor rebounded Friday ahead of the weekend, rising alongside gains for Chicago Board of Trade corn futures.

It's been a buyer's market in recent days amid building supply and sluggish demand. Today transfer Argo ethanol was talked at in a $2.245 to $2.285 per gallon bid/ask range, up 6.5 cents on the day. Chicago ethanol traded under Rule 11 for this week shipment of coastal markets traded at $2.355 per gallon, up 4.5 cents. Prompt New York Harbor ethanol barges traded at $2.28 per gallon, up 3.5 cents on the day.
