Chicago Spot Ethanol Prices Post Losses in Early Trade
Spot ethanol prices traded lower early Tuesday at the Kinder Morgan-operated Argo hub near Chicago on profit taking.
"I think to some extent ... (the market) may be taking a breather as it had held up pretty well relative to the (recent) move lower in corn," said a trader.
Today Argo transfer ethanol traded $2.23 per gallon, down 7.0 cents. Chicago Board of Trade June ethanol futures tumbled 2.4 cents to a three-day low at $2.20 per gallon this morning.
