Argo, NYH Spot Ethanol Prices Dive as Output Seen Rising
U.S. spot ethanol prices retreated further in early Tuesday afternoon trade in Chicago and on the New York Harbor on expectation data due out tomorrow would show another increase in domestic ethanol production. The nation's ethanol production rate has ramped up during the four weeks through Oct. 25 to a 16-1/2 month high at 911,000 bpd. Prompt transfer ethanol at the Argo hub near Chicago was valued at a $1.72 per gallon, down 2.5 cents on the day, while New York Harbor November ethanol barge traded at $1.95 gallon, down 8.0 cents on the day.
