West Coast Spot Ethanol Pressured by Weaker RBOB, Corn

U.S. spot ethanol prices were unchanged in New York and Chicago markets while lower along the West Coast alongside falling corn and gasoline prices.

Sources cited a lack of buying interest in the physical ethanol market today, especially for prompt delivered product. "It's been very quiet today," said a source. This-week delivered ethanol in California was pegged at $2.28 gallon for a loss of 3.0 cents. Pacific Northwest spot prices traded a $2.19 per gallon, down 10.5 cents, while spot Arizona prices traded down 8.5 cents at $2.24 gallon.
