U.S. ethanol spot prices in Chicago and New York eased a penny each Friday as part of the broader selloff in commodities after the nonfarm payroll report for July released Friday morning showed the labor market remains weak, with fewer-than-expected jobs added in July. Still, tight domestic ethanol supplies limited the downside for ethanol prices, said trade sources. Trade volume was thin and most of the discussions centered on swaps rather than physical product, the sources added.
