D6 RIN Prices Tumble on Weaker Demand, Profit Taking
Since the value for 2013 D6 Renewable Identification Numbers hit an all-time high at $1.48 early Thursday, they've fallen off "like a rock," with trades reported today at $1.37, $1.34, $1.32 and $1.31 a short while ago -- trading progressively lower as buying interest dried up and sellers "started selling in large sizes," a trade source said. The values have dropped 9.5cts since late Thursday. "I think the buyers simply got exhausted and when there is a lack of fundamental news to support such a dramatic rise in price, it was only a matter of time before the ceiling was hit, and the retrace of pricing occurred," added the source.
