Despite a push from farm groups and the House Agriculture Committee, Sonny Perdue's vote to be confirmed as Agriculture secretary will be after the Senate's Easter break.
A confirmation vote for Perdue has been set for Monday, April 24, at 5:30 p.m., the Senate Periodical Gallery has confirmed.
The gallery said Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., added it to the schedule as a unanimous consent request.
