Spot ethanol prices slipped in most of the nation's regional trade hubs early Tuesday, tracking losses for the Chicago Board of Trade corn futures and ahead of weekly ethanol supply data due out Wednesday.

Prompt supply ethanol at the Kinder Morgan-operated Argo terminal in the Chicago market traded at $1.505 per gallon, down 0.75 cent on the session. Ethanol traded under Rule 11 terms for this week shipment was seen at $1.495 per gallon, although a source said the rail market hasn't traded today and its price could ease as the session progresses. A July barge at the New York Harbor was assessed at $1.59 per gallon for a 0.75-cent loss. The 2017 D6 RINs, which are primarily generated by production of corn-based ethanol, traded at 82.5 cents and 81.5 cents, up a penny.
