Chicago, NYH Spot Ethanol Prices Gain on Buying Interest

Spot ethanol prices were discussed higher in Chicago and the New York Harbor Thursday, boosted largely by short-term buying interest. Prompt delivered product at the Argo terminal in the Chicago market was pegged at $1.47 per gallon, up 1.0 cent, while any-February deliveries traded up a penny at $1.48 per gallon.

In the rail market, this week transport Rule 11 traded at $1.44 per gallon, up 1.5 cents. On the East Coast, a February barge at the New York Harbor was talked at a $1.54 to $1.55 per gallon bid/ask for a 1.5-cents gain. In the market for renewable credits, the values for 2016 D6 Renewable Identification Numbers traded flat at 43.0 cents, and 2017 D6 RINs traded at 43.0 cents, down 1.0 cents.
