Cash Ethanol Prices Climb at Argo, NYH on Buying Interest

Spot ethanol prices rose Monday on talk of increased short-term buying interest in Chicago and New York as well as on a surge of exports. Prompt delivered ethanol at the Argo hub near Chicago was talked early at a $1.45 to $1.475 per gallon bid/ask, up 4.0 cents. In the East Coast, ethanol barge for April shipment to New York Harbor traded at $1.53 per gallon, up 2.0 cents on the day, with May barges at the Harbor trading at $1.56 per gallon.
