Cash Ethanol Prices Climb at Argo, NYH on Improved Demand
Spot ethanol prices rose in the New York Harbor and at the Argo hub near Chicago after the U.S. Energy Information Administration issued data showing an increase in weekly demand, which outweighed data showing an increase in stocks.
Sources said prompt delivered ethanol at the Argo terminal near Chicago traded at $1.43 per gallon, up 0.75 cents. Ethanol barged for April shipment to New York Harbor was seen at a $1.54 to $1.55 per gallon bid/ask, up 1.5 cents on the day.
