Cash Ethanol Eases at Argo, NYH as EIA Shows Higher Supply
Spot ethanol prices in New York and Chicago trade hubs fell Wednesday after the Energy Information Administration reported an increase in weekly ethanol stocks, domestic production while demand declined. New York Harbor July delivered ethanol barges were talked at a $1.71 to $1.73 gal bid/ask spread, down 1.0 cent. Prompt transfer ethanol at the Argo terminal near Chicago was discussed at a $1.62 to $1.63 gallon bid/ask spread for a 0.5 cent loss. Chicago ethanol under Rule 11 for this week shipment was talked at a $1.60 to $1.62 gallon bid/ask, down 1.5 cents.
