Biodiesel RINs Drop on Supply Talk, Argo Spot Ethanol Flat
The compliance credit market moved lower Wednesday, with 2018 D6 renewable identification numbers trading at 68.5 cents for a 1.0-cent loss while 2018 D4 biomass-based diesel RINs changed hands from 89.0 cents and down to 86.0 cents this afternoon for a 5.0-cent decline amid talk of excess short-term biodiesel fuel supply.
Spot ethanol prices were little changed in Chicago cash market with window trades at $1.47 and $1.4725 per gallon, while New York Harbor product delivered this month by barge was talked a penny higher at $1.57 per gallon. Market trade was thin ahead of Thursday's release of supply data for the week-ended Feb. 16 by the Energy Information Administration.
