Argo Spot Ethanol Prices Down on Corn Futures Loss, Bearish Talk

Spot ethanol traded lower at the Argo terminal in the Chicago cash market due to lower Chicago Board of Trade corn futures and talk an ethanol producer and trader were shorting the market through swap purchases.
Prompt delivered fuel ethanol at Argo traded at $1.25 per gallon and was then talked at a $1.23 to $1.25 per gallon bid/ask spread, down 1.5 cents, Monday afternoon. January swaps traded early session at $1.26 per gallon.
