Very good demand for all weights of steers and heifers. As the arctic plunge last week that saw below zero daytime highs has moved on, cattle feeders were more ready to receive incoming cattle than they were last week. The market was very active across all classes. Long strings and some full loads, along with ample smaller packages to make full loads of. Quality was very attractive and flesh condition light to moderate plus. The livestock complex had another fruitful day as most of the contracts were able to close higher. Throughout the week, some light trade was noted in the South at $242 to $245, which is $3.00 to $6.00 higher than last week's weighted average, and Northern dressed cattle traded at mostly $378, which is $1.00 higher than last week's weighted average.
