USDA Hub City Livestock Wtd Averages 06/04 19:00 AMS_2020 MARS Hub City Livestock Auction - Aberdeen, SD Hub City Livestock Auction-Aberdeen,SD Livestock Weighted Average Report for 06/04/2025 - Final Auction This Week Last Reported Last Year ------------------------------------------------------------ Total Receipts: ------------------------------------------------------------ FEEDER CATTLE 6632 2600 3137 Compared to last week: best test on steers 750 to 799 lbs and 850 to 899 lbs 4.00 to 6.00 higher, 950 to 999 lbs 5.00 to 10.00 higher with instances up to 20.00 higher. Best test on heifers 750 to 899 lbs 2.00 higher. A very large offering for the first annual Customer Appreciation BBQ. Many, many loads and strings of finishing type cattle on offer and met with good to very good demand depending on flesh condition which ran from moderate to some heavy flesh at times. A few loads and packages of lighter cattle, many of these fall calves, were met with very good demand. The mild winter had cattle gaining well and several operations had the top cut of their grass cattle in town today as they have gotten too heavy to put on grass. Many attractive cattle to choose from throughout the day. An active market with many buyers and farmer feeders in the seats. Many opportunities to buy multiple loads of same weight cattle which buyers took advantage of quite often. There is a great deal of optimism throughout the industry again and buyers and producers want to be sure to have cattle to market for the fall season. Much of the crop is planted and some have started first cut alfalfa. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, June 11. --------------------------------------------------------------- FEEDER CATTLE --------------------------------------------------------------- HEIFERS - Large 1 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 150 1007-1014 1010 263.5-273 270.73 HEIFERS - Medium and Large 1 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 16 416-442 431 430-450 441.55 16 451-451 451 405-425 411.25 26 535-547 540 357.5-374 365.88 48 565-570 566 365-376 373.46 114 620-636 628 341-352.5 346.06 11 648-648 648 328-328 328 Fleshy 149 650-671 666 326-336 330.64 54 708-746 736 302-311 308.66 149 780-792 789 280-296.75 295.42 533 801-849 819 293.25-299.5 295.48 550 852-886 869 274.5-293 285.56 327 905-946 924 272.5-293 286.81 41 927-940 935 266-268.5 266.91 Fleshy 570 951-981 963 260-284 270.41 HEIFERS - Medium and Large 1-2 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 18 726-726 726 289-289 289 STEERS - Large 1 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 582 1000-1049 1022 269-280.5 278.02 191 1051-1076 1060 269.5-279 276.85 STEERS - Large 1-2 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 34 1083-1083 1083 251.5-251.5 251.5 STEERS - Medium and Large 1 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 6 448-448 448 445-445 445 6 476-476 476 432.5-432.5 432.5 14 528-528 528 414-414 414 58 571-597 586 381-397.5 384.63 15 606-606 606 349-349 349 Unweaned 18 612-616 613 375-377.5 376.66 34 651-683 663 343-364 355.73 16 693-697 696 332.5-333 332.69 Fleshy 121 704-716 711 330-346.5 342.43 163 775-794 784 319.5-341.5 335.96 306 806-849 824 309-332.25 318.41 532 851-891 877 293-312.5 308.81 448 906-949 935 292-312.5 300.16 830 953-998 973 278.75-302 289.39 18 975-975 975 271-271 271 Fleshy STEERS - Medium and Large 1-2 (Per Cwt/Actual) Head Wt Range Avg Wt Price Range Avg Price 28 841-841 841 300-300 300 27 924-924 924 278-278 278
