DTN Weekly DDG Price Slightly Lower on Average

MINNEAPOLIS (DTN) -- The DTN spot price for domestic distillers dried grains (DDG) from 33 locations reporting for the week ended March 6 was down $1 on average at $155 per ton versus one week ago. DDG prices were mixed for the week and lower on average, while cash corn and soybean meal prices moved lower early in the week, but those prices did recover for the most part later in the week. The DTN National Average Corn Index was down 10 cents versus one week ago.

U.S. Grains Council in its weekly distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS) March export market prices report showed as of March 6, CIF NOLA barge price was down $6 at $205 metric ton (mt); FOB vessel Gulf price was down $6 at $219 mt; rail delivered PNW was steady at $240; and rail delivered to California was up $1 at $245 mt.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration reported overall ethanol production in the United States averaged 1.093 million barrels per day (bpd) in the week ended Feb. 28, which is up 12,000 bpd week-on-week. Total output for the week was 36,000 bpd, or 3.3%, more than the same week last year. Four-week average output at 1.085 million bpd was 10,000 bpd above the same four weeks last year, the same data showed. Midwest ethanol production averaged 1.04 million bpd, up 7,000 bpd week-on-week and 32,000 bpd, or 3.1%, higher than in the same week of 2024. Four-week average output at 1.032 million bpd was 7,000 bpd above the same four weeks last year.
