Spot Ethanol Slips in Chicago, NYH on Weak Fundamentals
Spot ethanol prices dropped back in Chicago and New York during a choppy session Friday ahead of the weekend break, pressured by ample supply and uncertain demand prospects. Weaker corn futures prices underpinned ethanol's losses also, though liquidity was limited.
Prompt transfer Argo ethanol was valued at $1.32 per gallon for a 4.0 cents loss while New York Harbor barged product traded at $1.47 per gallon early and was last talked at a $1.42 to $1.46 per gallon bid/ask, down 2.5 cents on the day.
