Roll Call reported Monday that the farm bill will return to the House floor June 22 following a vote on an immigration bill earlier in the week.
The comments laying out the timeline came from House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, R-La.
“We’re looking at moving the farm bill on June 22 and having the Goodlatte-McCaul bill come up the third week of June,” Scalise told reporters.
The Roll Call report reflects how GOP splinters on immigration have further tied up the farm bill even though Republicans want to support the farm bill.
