Spot ethanol prices in Chicago held steady while values eased a penny in the New York Harbor during a thinly traded session on Tuesday ahead of weekly ethanol data on Wednesday, with many traders attending an industry gathering in Texas.

Prompt supply at the Kinder Morgan-operated Argo terminal in the Chicago market traded at least three times unchanged at $1.4025 and $1.405. February and March delivered ethanol by barge at the New York Harbor were assessed at $1.50 per gallon, up 1.0 cent on the session.
