Argo Spot Ethanol Prices Trade Lower on Higher Output

Ethanol prices at the Argo supply hub in the Chicago spot market came off again Thursday afternoon. They were under pressure from the Energy Information Administration report released Wednesday. The report showed ethanol production by domestic plants increased during the second week of October by 5.4% to a 1.019 million bpd four-week high.
Prompt delivered ethanol at the Argo supply hub in the Chicago market traded three times at $1.3925, $1.395 and $1.40 per gallon for a 1.75-cent loss.
