Argo Spot Ethanol Pressured by Corn Futures Losses
Spot ethanol prices traded lower in Chicago and higher in the New York Harbor cash markets in limited trade Tuesday. Chicago cash prices came under pressure from lower corn futures on the Chicago Board of Trade and decline by New York Mercantile Exchange RBOB futures. Prompt supply ethanol at the Argo hub near Chicago traded at $1.56 gallon, down 1.25 cents, while October barged ethanol at the New York Harbor was seen at $1.61 gallon, up 0.5 cent on the session.
