Spot ethanol prices at the Argo terminal in the Chicago market and for rule 11 railed supply moved in opposing directions early Thursday afternoon in very quiet trade.

Trade sources said prompt supply at Argo was bid at $1.515 per gallon while offered at $1.53 per gallon, edging up 0.25 cent on the session.

Argo supply for any-month delivery traded at $1.54 per gallon. In the rail market, ethanol under Rule 11 terms traded at $1.52 per gallon, down 0.5 cent from a day ago. In the New York Harbor, June fuel ethanol barges were assessed at $1.595 by $1.605 per gallon, up 0.25 cent.
