Spot Ethanol Prices Tumble Despite Bullish EIA Report

Spot ethanol prices retreated Thursday despite a bullish supply report issued Wednesday, with the cash market pressured by lower Chicago Board of Trade corn futures and New York Mercantile Exchange RBOB futures.

In the cash market, prompt delivered ethanol at the Kinder Morgan-run Argo terminal in the Chicago market traded at $1.48 per gallon, down 3.25 cents on the session, with any March ethanol prices trading at $1.4975 per gallon.

March barged ethanol supply at the New York Harbor was talked at roughly $1.58 per gallon, down 1.0 cent. Northern California prompt delivered ethanol traded at $1.65 per gallon, down 2.0 cents.
