Spot ethanol prices were mixed in a thinly traded early session Thursday, with ethanol sandwiched between lower Chicago Board of Trade corn futures and higher New York Mercantile Exchange RBOB futures.

Prompt delivered ethanol at the Argo supply hub in the Chicago market traded early at $1.425 and $1.43 per gallon for a 0.25-cent loss. Chicago ethanol traded under Rule 11 was talked at a $1.40 to $1.425 per gallon bid/ask, down 0.25 cent.

New York Harbor September delivered ethanol barges were talked in a $1.505 to $1.52 per gallon bid/ask range for a 0.75 cent gain. This week shipment of ethanol for northern California was offered at $1.60 gallon for a gain of 1.0 cent.
