    USDA has unveiled One Farmer, One File for farmers to access USDA services through a single log-in they can use to enroll in either FSA or NRCS programs. USDA also plans to use the platform for producers to file acreage reports.

    A mutually beneficial relationship involving trade in canola oil and renewable diesel or biodiesel should help minimize tariff risks in the upcoming USMCA negotiations.

    Although supplies of market-ready cattle are thin and beef demand is strong, external factors like the tension between the U.S. and Iran or the uncertainty of what's going to happen at the JBS plant in Greeley, Colorado, can all negatively affect the market even though its fundamentals are strong.     Although the fed cash cattle market performed exceptionally last week and traded $1 higher in the South and $7 higher in the North, cattle contracts closed lower on Monday as too many external pressures weighed negatively against the marketplace.

    A G4 geomagnetic storm may degrade satellite navigation for some hours and disrupt low-frequency radio navigation. But given this is January and not the middle of spring planting, this storm if it arrives will have negligible effect on U.S. farms.
