MINNEAPOLIS (DTN) -- The DTN spot price for domestic distillers dried grains (DDG) from 33 locations reporting for the week ended April 16 was unchanged on average versus one week ago at $154 per ton.

DDG prices were mixed for the week, but unchanged on average. It was quiet overall this week, and cash corn prices didn't do much, with the DTN National Average Corn Index up 1 cent versus one week ago.

U.S. Grains Council, in its weekly distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS) May export market prices report, showed that as of April 17, CIF NOLA barge price was up $7 at $219 metric ton (mt); FOB vessel Gulf price was up $1 at $232 mt; rail delivered PNW was up $7 at $250; and rail delivered to California was up $6 at $246 mt.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration reported overall ethanol production in the United States averaged 1.012 million barrels per day (bpd), in the week ended April 11, down 9,000 bpd week on week and 58,000 bpd, or 5.7%, higher than in the same week last year. The four-week average output, at 1.037 million bpd, was 20,000 bpd above the same four weeks last year. Midwest ethanol production averaged 955,000 bpd, down 11,000 bpd week on week and 52,000 bpd, or 5.4%, higher than in the same week last year. The four-week average output, at 983,000 bpd, was 18,000 bpd above the same four weeks last year.
