Spot ethanol prices traded 0.5 cents higher in Chicago and New York Harbor Wednesday afternoon, with regional markets along the Gulf and West coasts dropping after the Energy Information Administration showed a 100,000 bbl supply build for U.S. ethanol stocks during the week-ended March 2.

Regionally, EIA showed 100,000 bbl builds for the PADD 3 Gulf Coast and PADD 5 West Coast with inventory for PADD 1 East Coast and PADD 2 Midwest unchanged.

Prompt supply at Argo terminal in the Chicago market traded several times during the aftermarket window at $1.4725, $1.475, and $1.4775 per gallon while March barged ethanol at the Harbor bid at $1.575 per gallon.
