Argo, NYH Spot Ethanol Weaken on Limited Buying Interest
Spot ethanol prices fell for the second straight day Thursday, down in Chicago and New York Harbor by 2.75 cents and 1.75 cents, respectively. This was amid a dearth of short-term buying interest after the Energy Information Administration on Wednesday reported domestic production fell less than expected during the week-ended Sept. 15 while blending demand eased.
September delivered supply at Kinder Morgan-operated Argo terminal traded at $1.5525, $1.55 and last at $1.54 per gallon. October barges at the Harbor traded 9.0 cents over Chicago paper at $1.60 per gallon.
