Spot Ethanol at Argo Slips to 10-day low Friday

OAKHURST, N.J. (DTN) -- Ethanol at the Kinder Morgan operated Argo terminal in the Chicago market dropped back to late May values early Friday afternoon in dull trade, with trade sources this week pointing to supply that remains above year-prior levels and the selloff in the gasoline market for limited buying interest.

Prompt ethanol at Argo was pegged 1.0 cents lower at $1.4925 gallon, with any bid at $1.495 gallon, according to trade sources. In the rail market, ethanol under Rule 11 terms traded at $1.505 gallon, up 0.5 cents. In the New York Harbor, prompt barges were down 0.25 cents at $1.57 gallon and July barges were talked at $1.605 gallon.
