Spot Ethanol Tumbles on Lower Corn, RBOB Futures

Spot ethanol prices fell again in all the major trade hubs on Tuesday under pressure from lower Chicago Board of Trade corn futures and New York Mercantile Exchange RBOB futures. Most discussions were focused on the Chicago and New York Harbor markets early Tuesday, as traders await weekly data on fuel ethanol supply due out on Wednesday from the Energy Information Administration.

In cash trade, prompt delivered ethanol at the Argo terminal in the Chicago market was talked at $1.615 gallon, down 2.0cts on the day. On the East Coast, April barged fuel ethanol in the New York Harbor was seen at $1.685 gallon, down 1.5cts.
