Spot Ethanol Prices Flat to Lower Amid Thin Volume Trade

Spot ethanol prices were flat to lower in a lackluster trade session early Tuesday as RBOB futures on the New York Mercantile Exchange eased while corn futures edged higher in trade on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Trade volume is thin due to an industry conference in San Diego, Calif. In cash ethanol trade, prompt delivered ethanol at the Argo terminal in the Chicago market was pegged at $1.48 per gallon while March delivered ethanol traded at $1.49 per gallon, both down 1.0 cent. A February barge at the New York Harbor was unchanged at $1.565 per gallon, with March barges valued at $1.585 per gallon.
