Spot Ethanol Prices Ease in Chicago, NYH on Profit-Taking
A day after Chicago and New York Harbor ethanol prices gained for the fifth straight session on strong demand, both cash markets retreated on profit-taking Thursday, sources said.
Prompt delivered ethanol at the Argo terminal in Chicago traded at $1.56 per gallon and any-February supply traded at $1.57 per gallon, down 3.0 cents.
A February barge at the New York Harbor was pegged at $1.65 per gallon for a 2.0-cent loss. In credit market, 2016 D6 Renewable Identification Numbers traded at 50.0 cents, up 0.75 cents, and 2017 D6 RINs traded at 51.0 cents for a 1.5-cent gain.
