Chicago, NYH Spot Ethanol Prices Lower on Demand Concerns

Spot ethanol prices eased Friday in the New York Harbor and at Chicago's Argo terminal on demand concerns while renewable identification numbers rallied as part of correction after a recent selloff.

Prompt delivered ethanol at Argo traded early Friday at $1.455 per gallon for a 1.25-cent loss on the session. A February barge at the New York Harbor was talked at a $1.525 to $1.545 per gallon bid/ask, down 1.0 cent.

The 2016 D6 RINs traded at 50.0 cents, up 7.0 cents, and 2017 D6 RINs traded 7.0 cents higher at 50.75 cents. Biomass-based diesel 2016 D4 RINs traded at 89.0 cents and 90.0 cents, up 4.25 cents. The 2017 D4 RINs traded at 97.0 cents, 98.0 cents and 99.0 cents, up 2.5 cents on the session.
