OMAHA (DTN) -- As midterm election results come into focus Wednesday, Nov. 4, farmers and agribusinesses will be watching more than just who won and lost. The outcomes will shape debates over farm policy, ad hoc farm payments, farm bill completion and federal spending for the next two years.

To help sort through the results Wednesday morning, DTN Ag Business Editor Chris Clayton and Ag Policy Editor Jake Zajkowski will host a 30-minute post-election webinar analyzing key races, shifts in political leadership and what the results could mean for agricultural policy.

Join us online from the cab or office Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 9 a.m. CST (10 a.m. EST).

-- Election Results: Potential shifts in the balance of power.

-- Voter Trends: What the results reveal about voter priorities and economic concerns.

-- Congressional Lame-Duck Session: What stands in the way of the farm bill and farm aid.

-- 2027 Outlook: What the election results could signal for the year ahead.

Farm issues have taken a front seat in many rural elections, shaping political discourse as Democrats challenge traditionally conservative districts and Republicans face scrutiny over their support for President Donald Trump amid concerns about his approval ratings, a strained farm economy, war and rising input costs.

But the election may be only the beginning. In December, lawmakers will face debates over permitting reform, potential Cabinet impeachments and a Dec. 11 deadline to fund the federal government. The results also could determine whether Congress makes progress on the farm bill.

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a live question-and-answer session with DTN's editors.

Don't wait for the election results to become yesterday's news. Join DTN's policy and agribusiness team for timely analysis of the races, policy battles and governing challenges that impact farm businesses.
