Argo, NYH Spot Ethanol Values Retreat on Talk of High Supply
Spot ethanol prices eased in the New York Harbor and at the Kinder Morgan-operated Argo terminal near Chicago early Monday amid talk about high supply in those two hubs and with a retreat for NYMEX RBOB futures.
Prompt Argo delivered ethanol was talked at a $1.37 to $1.39 per gallon bid/ask, down 1.0 cent. Chicago ethanol traded on a Rule 11 basis traded at a $1.39 per gallon. April ethanol barge shipment to the New York Harbor was pegged at $1.48 to $1.50 per gallon bid/ask spread, down 3.38 cents. May Harbor barges were bid at $1.51 per gallon.
