Spot Ethanol Buoyed by Higher RBOB, Corn; D6 RINs Retreat
The spot ethanol market reversed course Thursday, with cash prices flat to higher alongside rallies for RBOB and corn futures, while renewable fuel credits slumped amid profit-taking after recent rallies.
Chicago ethanol traded under Rule 11 for this week shipment was seen at a $1.48 to $1.50 per gallon bid/ask, unchanged, after trading earlier at $1.48 and $1.485 per gallon. Pacific Northwest was pegged at $1.61 per gallon for a 2.0-cents gain. A New York Harbor December barge was talked at a $1.58 to $1.60 per gallon bid/ask, up a penny.
