A Harvest of Photographic Talent: MyHarvest21 Images Show the Pallet of Fall Colors
As the last of the corn, soybeans and other fall crops get hauled to the bin, we're wrapping up yet another successful DTN harvest photo contest, MyHarvest21.
Congratulations to all the winners, it was yet again a delight watching those images as they rolled in. There were some extremely unique and well-thought-out images, all showing the beauty and reality of the crop season on the farm. The following are the winners in the photo contest.
-- In the Popular Vote category: First Place, "Mississippi Harvest '21" by Shelby Mason of Ashland, Mississippi; Second Place, "A Special Picture from a Special Day" by Kelsey Trueblood of Salem, Indiana.

-- In the Editor's Choice category awards: First Place, "And the Thunder Rolls" by Madison Mackley of Winona, Kansas; Second Place, "Breaking in the New Grain Bin" by Stacia Even of Humboldt, South Dakota.
First prize in each category receives a $150 gift card and a professional canvas print of your image; second place earns a $75 gift card and a canvas print. Winners will also be featured in the December 2021 issue of Progressive Farmer magazine.
While the number of submissions were a down a bit this year, the quality of those images continues to grow. The colors, the composition and the subjects chosen continue to show off the photographic talent out there across America.
We enjoy sharing those images, giving some insight into the current season. We also hope that it stimulates our readers to document these events on the farm. As much as we can appreciate them today, some day, someone, will appreciate them even more.
