DTN/Progressive Farmer Wins Awards
DTN/Progressive Farmer Receive Awards for Writing, Photography, Other Areas
OMAHA (DTN) -- DTN/Progressive Farmer staff received several prestigious awards recently in various awards competitions at the national and international levels.
AGRICULTURAL COMMUNICATORS NETWORK AWARDS
During the annual awards presentation held last week for the Agricultural Communicators Network in Raleigh, North Carolina, DTN/Progressive Farmer won a total of 27 awards, including the Photographer of the Year award for Progressive Farmer Senior Editor Joel Reichenberger -- the second year in a row he has won that award.
The ACN awards included nine first-place awards, eight seconds, eight thirds and one honorable mention, and were for writing, photography, design, marketing communications, and digital and social media.
The first-place writing winners included the following:

-- Team Story: "High On Tech" by Barb Baylor Anderson, Dan Crummett, Dan Miller, Joel Reichenberger and Matthew Wilde.
For photography, Reichenberger won first place in the Pictorial category for his "Sunset Ride" entry.
For digital and social media, DTN's first place awards included:

LIVESTOCK PUBLICATIONS COUNCIL AWARDS
The Livestock Publications Council also held its annual awards ceremony during the Ag Media Summit in Raleigh. The DTN/Progressive Farmer won a total of 13 awards: two firsts, six seconds and five honorable mentions.
The first-place winners were:

IFAJ STAR PRIZE AWARDS
The International Federation of Agricultural Journalists also announced recently in Denmark its annual Star Prize award winners, which recognizes the best work internationally.
Reichenberger won two awards in the competition: first place in the Nature/Landscape category for "Storm Brewing" and runner-up in the People category for "Pouring Seed." The storm picture last year won ACN's photo of the year title; Reichenberger wrote about how he got the photo in a blog (https://www.dtnpf.com/…).
