Crude oil is a bit lower while the U.S. Dollar Index is very firm after a stronger jobs report than expected. The volume of trade appears to be light Friday.

At midmorning, only corn remains slightly higher but in low volume, quiet trade. Wheat has moved close to a dime above the morning low, but all three markets are still down. It's a day that is devoid of much ag-related news.

Corn and soy are slightly firmer, while wheat is under pressure on a combination of weak exports and the impending trilateral peace effort next week to end the Black Sea war.

Livestock

Posted 11:35 -- December live cattle are down $1.68 at $212.725, January feeder cattle are down $5.15 at $315.175, December lean hogs are down $1.38 at $53.725, December corn is up 2 1/4 cents per bushel and December soybean meal is up $0.60. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 3.63 points and the NASDAQ is up 336.89 points. Some trade has been reported in Nebraska at $210 live, but otherwise the fed cash cattle market has been quiet thus far through Friday's trade. At this point it's most likely that bulk of this week's trade is done with.

Posted 08:30 -- December live cattle are down $1.00 at $213.4, January feeder cattle are down $1.43 at $318.9, December lean hogs are down $0.40 at $54.7, December corn is up 1 cent per bushel and December soybean meal is up $1.40. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 520.88 points and the NASDAQ is up 274.52 points. The livestock complex is again off to a weaker start as frankly there just hasn't been enough support in this week's market to allow traders to confidently push the contracts higher. No bids are on the table for the fed cash cattle market right now, but some light clean up trade could develop throughout the day.
